Az "1919 – Éposz" 1920-ban jelent meg a bécsi magyar emigráció MA című kommunista-avantgárd-aktivista folyóiratában, amelynek Kassák Lajos volt a főszerkesztője.
Kassák az 1919-es magyarországi proletárforradalom elkötelezett híveként kiáltotta közzé művét, amely a műfaji kereteket áthágva a szabadvers-próza-kiáltvány-agitáció-esszé-forradalmi szabadesés vulkanikus köveként akarta áttörni a kapitalizmus korlátait.
"Azt mondom, egyedül csak ti nyithattok meg minden kaput!" E marxi tétel kassáki átköltése harsog a proletáriátus önfelszabaditásának aktusáról Époszában, és mindaddig harsognia szükséges, míg a tulajdon-fenevad birodalmának falait le nem bontjuk!

"1919 - an Epic Poem" was first published in 1920 in MA ("Today"), the Communist-Avant-garde-Activist periodical of the Hungarian emigration in Vienna, whose editor-in-chief was Lajos Kassák himself.
Kassák's work, a proof of his wholehearted commitment to the 1919 proletarian revolution in Hungary, is an attempt to break through the boundaries of capitalist control as a volcanic free verse-prose-manifesto-essay.
"I say, You alone can open every door!" - Karl Marx' call for the self-emancipation of the working class is amplified by Kassák's work; and we must keep it blaring until the walls of the empire of the beast of property are not demolished.
Let's make good use of it!

Corrodal - Liquidators [FULL ALBUM - Chernobyl soundtrack]

Liquidators by Corrodal - 2017.

The hungarian instrumental band Corrodal proudly announce that their 3rd album is released entitled "Liquidators". Thematically it is dealing with the personnel who were called upon to deal with consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster which happened 31 years ago. The album is available in digital format, and in 100 limited CD copies. Recordings were made in Standing Waves Studio, Hungary.

A Corrodal zenekar örömmel jelenti be, hogy megjelent a harmadik nagylemezük Liquidators címen. A tematikája a harmincegy éve történt csernobili katasztrófa takarítószemélyzetével, a likvidátorokkal foglalkozik. A lemez digitálisan és 100 db limitált CD-s kiadásban érhető el. A felvételek az egerszalóki Standing Waves studióban készültek.

Notes:
“Session Thing” was initially believed to be part of the Jam with Traffic at Electric Lady Studios 15.06.70, but has later been determined to come from TTG Studios 29.10.68. It has now also been suggested that the flute may have been played by Lowell George, not Jim Horn, and the keyboards by Graham Bond, not Lee Michaels. Out of three different sources, I found varied information about this release. Track 2 may have included Buddy Miles. Jack Casady may have played bass on both Tracks 1 & 3
- This album has later been reissued as “Lover Man”

Fusion Violin: Ambi Subramaniam at TEDxBMS

mbi Subramaniam performs a fusion music piece composed by his father and guru Dr. L. Subramaniam. The composition is based on the carnatic raga Vakulabharanam. Ambi first plays a free-styla raga improvisation (raga alapana) and then will plays the composition along with moorching artiste Mr. Satya Sai.

Performer information:
Known as the 'new king of Indian classical violin', Ambi has been on stage since the age of seven. His greatest musical influence is his father and guru, Dr. L. Subramaniam with whom he tours the world, giving solo and duet performances. Ambi has performed at the prestigious Dussehra Festival at the Mysore Palace, the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, the Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, the Jay Pritzker Pavillion in Chicago and at the Centenary Celebration of the Banglaore Gayana Samaj. He has performed with the Orchestra Nationale du Lille, Sinfonia Baltica, Filharmonica du Stadt Sibiu, the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra and the Leipzig Philharmoic Orchestra. Ambi was a featured soloist for the Sounds of India program featuring talented instrumentalists from around the country.

Innovation & Tradition | Musical Performance: Dubutantes at TEDxUCSD

Miren Edelstein (violinist) and Summer Swee-Singh (pianist) first began playing music together two years ago, while undergraduate students at UC Berkeley. Together they create and perform classical renditions of modern music (ranging from electronic to alternative rock) to not only generate an appreciation for classical music in an electronic day and age, but to disseminate the musical merit of electronic music to a broad audience. Their work, which represents a unique fusion of many different genres of music, old and new, has garnered considerable media attention in the last two years. In addition to racking up over 1 million views on Youtube, Miren and Summer have been featured on numerous social media websites, including BroBible, Buzzfeed, West Coast Sound -- LA Weekly, and The Daily What. The Grammy-award-winning DJ, Skrillex, has even featured their videos twice on his Facebook page. Last year, LA Weekly published an article on Summer and her collaboration with Miren. Most recently, Miren was involved in the filming of a music video for Frank Ocean as a backup musician. Currently, Summer is pursuing a career in music in the Bay Area and Miren is studying music cognition as a psychology PhD student at UCSD.

A Ludwig Múzeum Lassú élet. Radikális hétköznapok című kiállítás alapötlete közel két évvel ezelőtt fogalmazódott meg, a koncepció kidolgozásán és megvalósításán a Ludwig Múzeum kurátori csapata hónapok óta dolgozik. Akkor még nem sejthettük, hogy a 2020 áprilisára tervezett, csaknem öt hónapos kiállítással és programsorozattal olyan témákat feszegetünk, amelyek a koronavírus okozta globális Covid-19-járvány következtében fenyegetően közelivé és égetően aktuálissá válnak. A „lassú-élet” egyik percről a másikra mindennapi valósággá, a globális világ kényszerű működésmódjává változott.
Videó performanszom a kiállítás kapcsán erre a kialakult helyzetre reagál 2020 húsvétján.

The idea of the exhibition Slow Life. Radical Practices of the Everyday was conceived almost two years ago and the Ludwig Museum’s curatorial team has been working on the preparation and implementation of the exhibition for months. At the time, we could not have guessed that with the nearly five-month exhibition and program series scheduled for April 2020, we would be dealing with topics that would become imminently close and pressing as a result of the global Covid-19 epidemic caused by the coronavirus. ‘Slow-life’ has all of a sudden become an everyday reality, a forced way of life in the global world.
My video performance responds to this situation in connection with the exhibition.
